Introduction:
I’ve been following Alana Marie’s work for awhile now and it’s about time I got a chance to feature her in the Spotlight Edition series here at The Spot. Get acquainted with Alana Marie Rodriguez in her exclusive interview for The Wiz’s Daily Dose below..
Bio:
OK a lil bit about me: I am 100% Puerto Rican and speak fluent spanish. I graduated in May 08 with my Bachelors in Communications/Journalism. I love both playing and watching sports. Ok thats it LOL
Interview:
Hennywiz – First off it’s a pleasure to have you here at The Wiz’s daily dose
Alana Marie – Thank you hun the pleasure is all mines.
Hennywiz – For the people that might not know yet rundown some of the other publications you’ve been in?
Alana Marie – I have been in The Source magazine; KISS magazine, JM magazine and the cover of Show Latina.
Hennywiz – Where are you originally from and what is your ethnic background?
Alana Marie – I’m from Rochester, NY. My ethnic background is Puerto Rican.
Hennywiz – Let the readers know what your measurements are?
Alana Marie – I am a petite thing lol. 34B-26-36
Hennywiz – What or who inspired you to begin a modeling career?
Alana Marie – When I was little I always wanted to be an actress but I was entered into a modeling competition and was picked and my interest in modeling toke off from there.
Hennywiz – Rundown some of the photographers you’ve worked with to help create the amazing photos of you?
Alana Marie – Omg there are so many. Just to name a few: Nick Saglimbeni, Frank Antonio, Treagan, Anthony, Edsel Peterson, house of Ego, AMB photography, and most recently good news.
Hennywiz – Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry?
Alana Marie – It’s mixed. I am not a voluptuous girl so I am aware of what publication would want me and which ones won’t. But I’m okay with that. I love my body and I’m happy with it. Some people in the industry want girls to change or change their bodies and I won’t do that. I have meet some amazingly good people in this industry that I can say are my friends and I love that. So there is good and bad. You just have to know who you are and stick to what you believe in.
Hennywiz – Do you host alot of events, do you travel often?
Alana Marie – I haven’t hosted too many. I hosted in Dallas for all star weekend last year for Show and I hosted in NYC for Show magazine as well. I do travel a lot though. I mostly go to NYC and LA.
Hennywiz – What are some of your long term goals as you continue to progress in your career?
Alana Marie – In modeling I want to appear in more magazines such as Maxim, FHM, King and Latina. I also want to get into ad campaigns for clothing and beauty products.
Hennywiz – What other interest do you have besides modeling?
Alana Marie – Acting. It’s my first love and I want to become an actress. That’s where I see myself in the future.
Hennywiz – Let’s get personal now, lol!! Do you have a significant other in life?
Alana Marie – Lol yes I do.
Hennywiz – What qualities do you look for when choosing a mate?
Alana Marie – I look for someone that is comfortable with who he is and not out to impress anyone. I am a goof ball and I love a man that can make me laugh. He also has to like sports because I love all sports and I watch espn everyday.
Hennywiz – What advice do you have for someone that would like to approach you in public?
Alana Marie – Just be normal. One of the biggest misconceptions that men have when they are around me is that I am mean or stuck up. If you come off like a gentlemen and genuine then you have my attention if you come at me like you think you’re bigger than life and your conceited I will not give you the time of day. Lol
Hennywiz – What turns you on the most?
Alana Marie – Being romantic. I am a hopeless romantic and a man that’s not afraid to show me off in any situation and tell me I’m beautiful randomly turns me on. Just talking about it makes me smile lol.
Hennywiz – What is an ultimate turn off for you?
Alana Marie – Instead of spending time with me they prefer to buy materialistic things. Ugh can’t stand that or someone that is into themselves. Also selfish people I don’t like. If you don’t humble yourself and like to give back I’m instantly turned off.
Hennywiz – Are you a super freak or casual romantic?
Alana Marie – Haha I think both. I love to be romantic but sometimes I’m like I want it now. Lol but I don’t like to give away my secrets 😉
Hennywiz – What parts of your body are you most complimented on the most and what are your favorite assets on you?
Alana Marie – I get complimented for my face, eyes and hips!! Lol my favorite asset is my lips. Lol
Hennywiz – What is one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?
Alana Marie – That I am shy and goofy as hell. I love to make others laugh but when I’m not in front of the camera I’m shy but when the camera is on I’m like a sex kitten. Alana Marie – Lol alot of people are surprised of how conservative I am. I tell em I have an alter ego like beyonce lol.
Hennywiz – Name some things you couldn’t live without?
Alana Marie – Okay my family, my dog, my iPhone, laptop, water lol, makeup.
Hennywiz – What genre of music are you in to?
Alana Marie – I love salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, pop and R&B. I almost like all kinds of music.
Hennywiz – What can we expect from you in the near future?Alana Marie – I will be in an upcoming issue of Show Magazine Black lingerie, a secret project with Nick and hopefully a big move for me to get my acting career going.
Hennywiz – What advice do you have for inspiring models out there trying to break into the industry?
Alana Marie – I love talking to girls who ask for advice because I think models should help other models and inspiring ones. I would say be careful for scammers and always bring someone with you to a shoot. Also be true to yourself and what you believe in.
Hennywiz – I really appreciate you taking the time to grant me this interview. Anything you want to say to your fans out there?

The Bachelors in Communication/Journalism will come in handy when the modeling ends. I applaud the fact that she won't change her body, she shouldn't have to jus' to make it in the modeling game. I feel her on wanting to get in ad campaigns for clothing/beauty products….reach for the sky. A woman that likes sports & that watches ESPN daily is rare…nice. PEACE!!!
