Bio:

My birth name is Ashanti however I also go by Toi. I do not have a preference for either name. I was born on May 30 in Stockton, California. Northern California is where I have lived throughout most of my life and the only thing I dislike about Cali period is that the weather is not HOT enough! I am currently pursuing my passions in life as a model/actress and make-up artist. Since I was a young child My mother used to tell me: “Baby we were Blessed with Natural Beauty but, Creativity & Knowledge is always a must have. You can never have enough so always be willing to learn & try new things cause what you have to offer from within you, people cherish so much more…” She has always supported me and pushed me to be involved in fashion, modeling and performing which has been and will continue to be a huge focus in my life. I have been a cheerleader, Go-Go dancer, runway model, film actress, print model, music video vixen, dance team member and the list goes on. There is so much more to me than my career. I truly enjoy traveling, especially places with HOT weather; eating all of my favorite foods & more; exercising, reading; camping, water skiing, wake boarding; dancing; snow boarding, skiing, hiking; fishing; roller skating; bike riding; watching movies; listening to music by some of my favorite artist; acting silly/hanging out with close friends and loved ones and much, much more…. Hennywiz – How are you doing today, Ashanti?

Ashanti – I’m Blessed & Happy Thanks *smiles*

Hennywiz – First off, Welcome to the Daily dose.

Ashanti – It’s a pleasure thank you for the invite.

Hennywiz – Where are you originally from and what’s your ethnic background for starters?

Ashanti – I was born in raised in California. My Mother is Black & Native American Indian Blackfoot & Cherokee My Father is Japanese & Filipino. Yes I’m very mixed, lol

Hennywiz – What are your measurements for the people that don’t already know?

Ashanti – *blushing* Lol, I’m a petite one 32D-24-36

Hennywiz – What or who inspired you to begin a modeling career?

Ashanti – Well I dabbled in modeling a lil bit when I was a child due to my mother, but I was a tom boy so I wasn’t feeling it, lol Now that I’m older I luv it!

Hennywiz – Have you been in any publications as of yet?

Ashanti – So far mostly internet mags; A few video appearances & an independent film but I’ve been working really hard so expect to see more of me real soon, lol

Hennywiz – You’ve taken some really nice photos, is there a particular photographer you consistently work with?

Ashanti – There’s a few that I really enjoy working with but mostly with Ammala of AP Photography she did my very 1st photo shoot as an adult & she’s supported me alot that’s why she became one of my besties!

Hennywiz – In this forever evolving business, new faces emerge by the minute. What separates Ashanti aka Toi from your peers?

Ashanti – Honestly, I’m just me! I give my all, stay true, honest, down to earth & real & just be the best me that I can I mean I have to try hard to do well there is only one me on this earth, lol!

Hennywiz – With all the shoots you’ve done so far, which ones have been your most memorable?

Ashanti – hmmm…. Every shoot has its own special memory because I always try & learn something to grow & improve from each one

Hennywiz – What impact has modeling had on your personal life?

Ashanti – Lol Ummmm…. Personal Life? On my own time I’m pretty much chill & laid back with family, loved ones & friends. It has truly opened my eyes to new things though good & bad. Lots of obstacles to tackle & lessons to learn. You can’t judge a book by its cover but you can’t just assume that everyone has the same outlook & perspective as you either. Modeling has impacted my personal life a great deal & I’m just blessed & happy to enjoy the ride even with the bumps that come along.

Hennywiz – Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?

Ashanti – So far I’ve learned to each its own. You make what you want out of it. You can either let it make you or you can set your own mark on the industry. I just learned that you have to stay grounded so it won’t consume you, because it can be overwhelming & Make sure you have a solid & supportive group of Fam & friends.

Hennywiz – What are some of your long term goals as you continue to progress in your career?

Ashanti – I want to open my own boutique & market my own brand of a makeup line & a perfume line.

Hennywiz – What has been some of the highlights of your career?

Ashanti – I enjoy meeting the different types of talented people that I get to work with.

Hennywiz – What other interest do you have besides modeling?

Ashanti – I enjoy being a Makeup Artist & have dabbled in some acting as well.

Hennywiz – What are some of your hobbies?

Ashanti – cooking, exercising, reading, hanging out with loved ones & friends, dancing, spending time with my dog, traveling, doing outdoor activities, researching fashion, shopping & the list just continues…

Hennywiz – Do you still Go-Go dance?

Ashanti – Lol No, I actually I haven’t in awhile I do have my moments when I miss it though

Hennywiz – I read that you are an actress; have you been in any films, music videos or TV shows yet?

Ashanti – Yes, I was featured in an independent film in Cali called Mayflower, A video with Kafani ft. Bobby Valentino & I was featured in a video with B Streezy ft. Lil Boosie

Hennywiz – What would be a dream role for you?

Ashanti – Hmmm… I would like to do an action film

Hennywiz – I’m about to get in your business now, lol!!

Ashanti – *Deep breathe* Uh Oh, what are you bout to ask, Smh lol!!

Hennywiz – Do you have a significant other? If so, how does he or she feel about you modeling?

Ashanti – I am currently single but who ever I date they would definitely need to be supportive & comfortable with what I love to do because I would do the same for them.

Hennywiz – What qualities do you look for when choosing a significant other?

Ashanti – A man who is 6ft or Taller, lol I know I’m the shortest thing attracted to the tallest hahaha Clean cut & handsome. Intelligent, Respectful, Gentlemen who is Considerate, Honest, Trustworthy, Genuine & Financially Stable.

Hennywiz – I want to assume your preference is men or women too?

Ashanti – Lol, just Men

Hennywiz – What advice do you have for someone that would like to approach you in public?

Ashanti – Approach me nicely & respectfully by introducing themselves & speaking

Hennywiz – What are some of the worst pick up lines you ever been hit with?

Ashanti – You are the finest thing I’ve ever seen or I must have died & be in heaven or when people approach & just ask me to marry them, lol

Hennywiz – What turns you on the most?

Ashanti – A tall respectful well mannered man with good hygiene, lol

Hennywiz – What is an ultimate turn off for you?

Ashanti – Pulling on me, being rude, disrespectful & bad hygiene

Hennywiz – What’s the most expensive gift you have bought a significant other?

Ashanti – Hmmm… I’m not sure when I’m with someone I share as often however & whenever I feel, I don’t keep track of things like that it comes from the heart

Hennywiz – There are some freaky people out there that will want to know, how do you rate yourself in the bedroom?

Ashanti – Wow, lol! Well I haven’t had any complaints so I guess I’m good, hahaha I mean I hope if it wasn’t good they would let me know so I could know how to improve, lol

Hennywiz – What is your ultimate sexual fantasy?

Ashanti – Hmmm… I have to think about that one, lol I just like to make sure they enjoy it as much as I do or there is no point

Hennywiz – What part of your body are you most complimented on and what is your favorite asset(s) on you?

Ashanti – Hmmmm…. It’s odd but I get quite a few compliments on my behind, which always puzzles me cause its petite just like me, lol My fav asset is my tattoo around my stomach, waist & back (it connects all around)

Hennywiz – Give a description of a normal evening at home with you.

Ashanti – lol on a normal evening I’m pretty boring…. Walk the dog, Cook dinner, Eat with a glass of wine & relax by either reading, watching a movie or any CSI or Law & Order

Hennywiz – Do you have any tattoos? If so where?

Ashanti – Yes, a tattoo that starts in the front of my lower stomach & pelvis that wraps around my hip bones to my lower back & bottom. I also have another small tattoo that’s on the lower back of my neck on my spine & I’m thinking of getting another one on my foot for my bday *smiles & blushes*

Hennywiz – Do you have a special hidden talent? If so, can you reveal it?

Ashanti – I don’t know about hidden talent, but I love to cook! I used to open up a cook book & just learn to cook something new at least 1 or 2 times a week if I’m home.

Hennywiz – How would you describe your fashion style?

Ashanti – I don’t think it’s bad, hahaha I like a bunch of different type of things so I find & piece together different things & add my own twist for me. It’s hard for me to follow one type of fashion style cause of my petite built so I just find what I like & make it work for me!

Hennywiz – What genre of music are you into?

Ashanti – Oh I have an eclectic genre of music that I listen to I luv all types! You name a genre & I’ve probably found something I really like in it, lol

Hennywiz – What is one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?

Ashanti – When people first meet me I’m usually quite & keep to myself but when they get to know me they think I’m really sweet & caring

Hennywiz – What is your guilty pleasure?

Ashanti – Uggghhhh hahaha I have quite a few! Smh watching sports basketball or football, snacking all the time & eating late at night; Buying & Using shower gels; lotions & perfumes, Stilettos & so much more, lol

Hennywiz – Name some things you couldn’t live without?

Ashanti – My Family, Dog, Love ones & Friends that are always there when I feel like I may have a breaking moment

Hennywiz – What can we expect from you in the near future?

Ashanti – To keep working hard to brand myself to get closer to my goals

Hennywiz – Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Ashanti – Hopefully establishing my Makeup & Perfume line & Boutique

Hennywiz – What advice do you have for inspiring models out there trying to break into the industry?

Ashanti – Do your research, have faith & patience & give it your all If it’s something you really want to do or don’t do it at all because it’s way too many people working hard to get to the top & you can’t if your treating it as a hobby.
