Hennywiz – How are you doing today, Sidney
Sidney Lauren – I’m great, thank you!
Hennywiz – First off, Welcome to the Daily dose. …
Sidney Lauren – Thanx for having me
Hennywiz – Where are you originally from and what’s your ethnic background for starters?
Sidney Lauren – …My mother is German and my father is Bajan, I am originally from South Jersey but I live in D.C. attending Howard University
Hennywiz – What are your measurements for the people that don’t already know? Sidney Lauren – I am 34-26-38 ½…. And yes I count the half J
Hennywiz – What or who inspired you to begin a modeling career?
Sidney Lauren – I honestly started modeling because everyone asked me if I was one wherever I went… So it was only natural that I get involved in the business.
Hennywiz – I read that you’ve been featured in the Source; what other publications have you been in so far?
Sidney Lauren – Jolie Magazine, Straight Stuntin Magazine and Titanium Girls Xtra…and I’m shooting for Craze Magazine next week
Hennywiz – How was your experience working with these publications?
Sidney Lauren – All of the shoots that I have done has been fun… Although, I really loved the shoot with Frank Antonio for Straight Stuntin! We did a part of the shoot in an old clock tower! It was cold but the pics looked amazing!
Hennywiz – You’ve taken some really nice photos, is there a particular photographer you consistently work with?
Sidney Lauren – My favorite photographer would have to be Wole with Apple Phat Studios!!!! He’s new to the business but he takes great photos. He’s based out of Northern V.A
Hennywiz – In this forever evolving business, new faces emerge by the minute. What separates Sidney Lauren from your peers?
Sidney Lauren – The fact that I am always evolving separates’ me… You will never catch me with the same look for more than a month unless a photographer requests it. In this industry you have to keep people on their toes to stay relevant.
Hennywiz – With all the shoots you’ve done so far, which ones have been your most memorable?
Sidney Lauren – This past weekend I did an underwater shoot; I haven’t seen the photos yet. But it was soooo hard keeping an angelic face while holding my breathe and keeping my eyes open under water for as long as I could
Hennywiz – What impact has modeling had on your personal life?
Sidney Lauren – Well I’m a college student so my life as a college student is a lot different than others on campus. I’m able to mingle and hosts events around the city with celebs that a lot of my peers look up too. But it has kind of taken a toll on my relationship with my boyfriend because he doesn’t really care for the whole ides of music videos and eye candy modeling for Mens magazines.
Hennywiz – Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?
Sidney Lauren – The industry is easy of you get with the right people butt its hard to weed out the good from the bad. Allot of people will make promises that they won’t keep so it’s important to surround your self with truthful people.
Hennywiz – What are some of your long-term goals as you continue to progress in your career?
Sidney Lauren – I’m using modeling as a stepping-stone into networking for my future career in Public Relations. So I hope to see my promo company very successful within in the next few years
Hennywiz – What has been some of the highlights of your career?
Sidney Lauren – Some of the highlights have been traveling, meeting new people and getting free clothes!
Hennywiz – You’ve hosted several parties and various cities; has traveling become overwhelming as of yet?
Sidney Lauren – Nope not at all I love traveling my favorite place to party so far would have to be Miami
Hennywiz – What other interest do you have besides modeling?
Sidney Lauren – I am the Co-Ceo of my own promotional company in DC “The A-Team”. So other than modeling I’m pretty much focused on the company and school right now
Hennywiz – What are some of your hobbies?
Sidney Lauren – I love working out I work out twice day… I have o get it to get my day going. Just like every other women I love shopping with my boyfriends’ money of course!! J
Hennywiz – I’m about to get in your business now, lol!! Do you have a significant other? If so, how does he or she feel about you modeling?
Sidney Lauren – I have a boyfriend that I have been with for 2 years but it seems more like 10. He hates me modeling because he doesn’t like the world being able to see what he sees, which I can understand. But he’s starting to come around.
Hennywiz – What qualities do you look for when choosing a significant other? Sidney Lauren – My man must be a Christian, family oriented, physically fit, stylish and self motivated. Oh and nice teeth are a must!!! Oh yea… you must be able to make me laugh too!
Hennywiz – I want to assume your preference is men or women too?
Sidney Lauren – I think women are beautiful but I love men!
Hennywiz – What advice do you have for someone that would like to approach you in public?
Sidney Lauren – As a heads up don’t walk up to me if you see a tall light skin guy wit long dreads near me because that’s my man… and he will spaze! But when he’s not there I nicely tell them I’m taken.
Hennywiz – What are some of the worst pick up lines you ever been hit with?
Sidney Lauren – If I could create the alphabet I would put “U” and “I” together. That has got to be the lamest!
Hennywiz – What turns you on the most?
Sidney Lauren – My boyfriend turns me on the most. He is the epitome of sexy!
Hennywiz – What is an ultimate turn off for you?
Sidney Lauren – The ultimate turn off for me would have to definitely be ignorance and bad hygiene.
Hennywiz – What’s the most expensive gift you have bought a significant other?
Sidney Lauren – I bought my boyfriend a $3,000.00 paint job for my boyfriends’ birthday last year. Candy Yellow paint its beautiful!!Hennywiz – There are some freaky people out there that will want to know, how do you rate yourself in the bedroom?
Sidney Lauren – I keep my man very happy I would have to rate myself a PERFECT ten…. I keep him coming back!!!!
Hennywiz – What is your ultimate sexual fantasy?
Sidney Lauren – I have to keep that between my boyfriend and me… I can’t tell you guys everything!
Hennywiz – What part of your body are you most complimented on and what is your favorite asset(s) on you?
Sidney Lauren – I mostly complimented on my smile and my legs, I would have to agree that those are my favorite assets along with my butt!!!
Hennywiz – Give a description of a normal evening at home with you.
Sidney Lauren – A normal evening at home would be me working out and then preparing dinner and then finishing the night with a movie with my boyfriend.
Hennywiz – Do you have any tattoos? I have two tatts…If so where?
Sidney Lauren – I have a crown on my hip and a black widow on the left side of my back.
Hennywiz – Do you have a special hidden talent? If so, can you reveal it?
Sidney Lauren – I have lots of talents but I only share them with my boyfriends. Sorry!
Hennywiz – How would you describe your fashion style?
Sidney Lauren – I would say that I’m edgy… I like to push the envelope a little bit. I’m defiantly not afraid of showing a little skin!
Hennywiz – What genre of music are you into? Sidney Lauren – I like all kinds of music from rap to house. Right now I’m loving Lady GaGa and the Black Eyed Peas!!!
Hennywiz – What is one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?
Sidney Lauren – When people usually meet me I’m sure that they think that I am stuck up and fake but I am very genuine and funny.
Hennywiz – What is your guilty pleasure?
Sidney Lauren – I most have a caramel Frape with chocolate syrup twice a day!!!! It’s a must!
Hennywiz – Name some things you couldn’t live without?
Sidney Lauren – I couldn’t live with out my phone and with out my flat iron…. Ph and Mac lip-gloss!
Hennywiz – What can we expect from you in the near future?
Sidney Lauren – You can expect to see something very big this fall, I can’t really speak about it right now but it’s BIG!!!!
Hennywiz – Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? Sidney Lauren – In the next five years I see myself with allot of magazine features under my belt. I see my promo company very successful and possibly even married
Hennywiz – What advice do you have for inspiring models out there trying to break into the industry?
Sidney Lauren – I would definitely tell them to do their research because there are many photographers and agents that will tell models that they can make them famous and wont. So make sure you get with an agency that will represent you in a good way.
